During a corporate restructuring in 1986, Walt Disney Productions was renamed The Walt Disney Company, and the animation division, renamed Walt Disney Animation, became a subsidiary of its film division The Walt Disney Studios.

Walt Disney Feature Animation Edit

1994–1997 Edit

In 1994, the Walt Disney Company built the current Feature Animation building in Burbank, California, and the animation division was renamed Walt Disney Feature Animation.

This logo is identical to the logo of Disney Theatrical Productions that started using it a year before this logo’s debut

Walt Disney Animation Studios Edit

2006–present Edit

On January 24, 2006, Disney announced it would acquire Pixar Animation Studios for $7.4 billion. During this merge, John Lasseter assumed the role as President and CEO of Walt Disney Feature Animation, which was renamed Walt Disney Animation Studios. The first film to feature this logo was Meet the Robinsons, released on March 30, 2007
